I've slowly been inking away at an illustrated children's book I want to make about my Dad's cat Mei. Traditionally micron ink pen on regular drawing paper and posca marker. Most about 11in x 17in. #kidlit It's been a process and still working on it!
you NEED to start stretching & walking every day, weight training at least 2-3x a week, and sleep ~7 hours a night. this is how you keep drawing for decades without your body breaking down when u turn 30.

My sleep and energy getting fucked up every month is just a temporary nerf. One day I will drop those leg weights like Rock Lee and be unstoppable. Just skidooshing around the stadium with limitless energy.
Just got rejected from a union gig I was pretty confident about so...please continue keeping me in mind for any storyboard/revisionist roles? 😅 I'm so tired and my insurance runs out in October. I'll probably have to start thinking about a new plan this fall if something doesn't work out by then

TDAC finale screening was so sweet! I’m super glad I saw it. It’s funny cuz even the theater attendants were into it. They had a crew waiting outside to clean, and one guy was excitedly explaining Caine lore to them.

Me: I’d love to get some real good quality sleep now that summer is here! My cat: Sits his 12 pound butt square on my chest the whole night, headbutts me to pet him while half-asleep, taps me with his cold-ass nose, chatters about breakfast at 5am. Me: Gosh! I wonder why I feel so tired?
Roughed out. One of the few simpler shots early in my short. Over the years, I realized how much I love to play with economic, nuanced timing to get that certain feeling. Being conditioned to animating on 2's my whole life, 3's or 4's feels like I'm committing a heinous but beautiful crime.

The end of the semester was long and I am very, lovingly, tired of people. I am looking forward to drawing and animating all summer with just enough human interaction to keep the loneliness blues away. (￣▽￣)
