rip andy. i had some incredibly sweet and fun convos with the dude over the last few months. you can tell how genuine he was. and kind, very kind. a big loss imo.

So many "big" modern matches find themselves blowing past the crescendo of a match to add counter sequences, theatrics, interference spots, etc. that don't alter the emotional response to the outcome. Works in the short-term, but it's a real easy way to burn out your audience.

Omega had such an interesting journey—took so long to break out and illicits so many strong, contradictory opinions & emotions (from fans AND workers). Undeniably great, with so many conflicting asterisks. If that was his last big match, its a perfect encapsulation of his career.
