Democrat. Joe Biden was a great president. Love politics, French Bulldogs and, especially, my grandkids. Formerly Kathy, mydoggigi on X
61 years after the Voting Rights Act became law, Texans are still fighting to be counted at the ballot box. Yesterday, the voice of the people was so loud that the Tarrant County Commissioners Court had no choice but to table their attempt to cut polling locations before the midterm election.
66-year-old Dale Schultz was killed in the In-N-Out shooting in Idaho. His wife Reinette was also severely injured in the shooting. The gunman used an AK-47. Urge your Members of Congress to cosponsor the bill to #BanAssaultWeapons. 📞 (202) 224-3121 📝 secure.everyaction.com/tQceIFM-V0Ot...
Be prepared for a level of racism not seen since Jim Crow.
Folks from the Women's March have been arrested at the Capitol for protesting ICE. Shout out to the women who are putting their lives and livelihoods on the line to get their message out: ABOLISH ICE.
With primaries behind us, it's now time for Dems to focus on winning in Nov. That'll involve something hard: establishment Dems will need to ask what they can learn from progressives, progressives will have to focus on what they can learn from centrists & both'll have to find ways to work together.
No amateur sports program is worth sexually abusing children to prove their gender
El-Sayed on Vance: Is that Peter Thiel's boy with that Ohio charisma? The last thing that he said that made any sense was Hillbilly Elegy—after he said that Donald Trump had no business being president of anything. And then he decided to suck up to power.
We proved it in Wisconsin. We proved it in New York City. We proved it in dozens of special elections over the past year. People power over money!
Abdul El-Sayed was outspent 9-to-1 by AIPAC and corporate Super PACs in the most expensive Senate Democratic primary of all time. Last night, he proved that organized people can beat organized money.
El-Sayed: "If all Mike Rogers got is that 'his name is Abdul, and my name is Mike,' you're gonna be surprised how many people are like, 'Yeah, but that's the Abdul who wants to bring down the price of my groceries and make sure I got healthcare. So yeah, I like Abdul over your Mike from Florida.'"
El-Sayed: We live in an era where we continue to see a few very small people try to define America as being as small as they are. We can't control the past 250 years. What we can do is build the next 250
Yesterday Once More: Happy Birthday to President Obama 65 and Knicks in 5 🤩👊🏽
So you can’t afford groceries, gas, healthcare, utilities, or your mortgage. But hey, I got gold horses.
Abdul El Sayed talkin bout being outspent 11:1 but lookin like his supporters got a win regardless. It’s a nice twist on “get the money out of politics” to instead be like “we can defeat the money”
BREAKING: The New Mexico Department of Justice has sued Acting AG Todd Blanche and the DOJ, requesting the court for access to unredacted Epstein-related investigative files that the DOJ has been withholding.
In a country with a president who is such a destructive sore loser, politicians who are both helpful and gracious in defeat is a greatly appreciated novelty.

Jones slams Tuberville for calling Social Security a "scam"
The Democratic candidate highlighted Tuberville’s own benefits and past fraud-linked business dealings.

If they built a wall around Alabama, how would Tuberville get there from his house in Florida
Tuberville: "If we don't straighten out this country's voting and immigration system, we're not gonna make it. It's gonna be over. I'm gonna go back to Alabama and hey, we might build a 30-foot wall around our state."
New Mexico is asking a federal judge to compel the DOJ to release files related to abuse allegations at Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch, accusing the agency and acting attorney general Todd Blanche in a lawsuit of “stonewalling” its investigation. www.forbes.com/sites/sarado...

Jenifer Lewis said it best: 35.9 million people sat out 2024, and we don’t let that shit happen again. Not this time. Not with 90 days on the clock and everything on the line. Speak out, knock louder, make it impossible to ignore. It’s on all of us to flip it all blue. #BlueWaveIn90Days
@ossoff.bsky.social is the only Dem Senator up for reelection in a state Trump won in 2024. MAGA is spending millions to defeat him—and will drop hundreds of millions more by Election Day. Chip in at electjon.com to protect this seat! #BlueWaveIn90Days
CEOs are raking in $17 million a year, 300 times what their own workers make, and John Husted’s answer is “learn to budget.” Sherrod Brown wrote the law that got over 100,000 Ohioans their stolen pensions back. Vote for who fights for you, not who lectures you. #BlueWaveIn90Days
Josh Turek wants something better for Iowans — he’s the Dem running to flip the Senate. Just an amazing human being! He wants to lower costs, raise wages, restore Roe,protect workers, SS & Medicare, reproductive healthcare and will fight for farmers and education. More of this 🙏🏼 #BlueWaveIn90Days
as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.
Reuters: Iran wants fees of 5%-7% of the price of cargo from ships using the strait; Oman wants 3%. "Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."
If you thought John Mitchell or Bill Barr were bad… just you wait.
