For St Wilfrid's saint's day today, here's his crypt at Hexham, #Northumberland, one of two remarkable surviving crypts from his churches at Hexham and Ripon. Stones were reused from nearby Roman Corbridge. It feels astonishing to be in the space he would've used 1300 years ago.
