I'm thinking, as communicating in general becomes even more dehumanized and rampant, it bolsters how much vile behavior we're "allowed" to justify, which includes the aforementioned bullying and manipulating. GenAI is just speeding up said dehumanization.

One last time; My issue is that people have become more paranoid and volatile to one another when it comes to the subject of genAI, regardless of views. Yes it sucks. Yes it's fucking folks over. Yes it's in *everything* and cutting off never feels like enough for folks. Just talk, everybody.

Gonna be real, the main reason I'm hoping the genAI fad dies sooner is so people stop having to bully their own friends into 'not using this service/playing this game' etc, or else treat them like the worst human beings imaginable. Treating issues gracefully doesn't exist online these days lol.

I will say one additional thing. If yall are on rough terms with any friends/colleagues because of this issue, regardless of where you lie, it's not too late to wake up and talk. Not everything's gotta be a war. I don't tolerate high-school ass behaviour, especially in a space I passionately love.
