Delighted to see Hannah Fry's debut on Celebrity Traitors last night. Doing it for all the mathematicians and self-confessed nerds out there. She's one of our own.
A sequences begins: 4, 6, 10, 16, ... Is it a quadratic or Fibonacci style sequence? Is it possible to be given five (or more) terms of a sequence and still be undecided?

Great to see a workshop on tutoring. Some familiar ideas in there! And some fascinating early experiments at schools with AI Tutoring @thirdspacelearning.bsky.social #MathsConf41
Wish I could have made it to #MathsConf41 or #rED26 today! If any of you have GCSE resit students, please consider sharing! ⬇️

We're approaching 400 members on hodspace.com which was only launched one month ago. People are using it to ask for advice, chat about maths teaching, share resources etc. I’m loving it! If you join in September you get four whole weeks for free!
Just had a delightful time talking about some Checkpoints (including this one), and a few tangential thoughts, with an enthusiastic group of Maths teachers here at #MathsConf41. Having discussed Checkpoints twice now, I should probably find something different to talk about for next time.
All set for #MathsConf41! ➗📐 I’m so excited for today and looking forward to attending some brilliant workshops, meeting fellow maths enthusiasts and gathering lots of new ideas. Notebook ready. Maths geek mode fully activated! 🤓😂 Time to get our maths on! 🧮 #MathsCPD #ProfessionalDevelopment
I'll be doing this during period 5 (last session before #MathsConf41 ends)! This presentation should hopefully deliver powerful discussions to all participants on why we should use multiple choice questions in #ALevelMaths So the big question is: Should all exam boards adopt this and why?
Happy #MathsConf41 day !!! Looking forward to following some posts / sessions here as unfortunately I can’t be there in person.

Did you know there are nine levels of qualification? And that a grade 3,2, or 1 at GCSE is a Level 1 qualification? The Secretary of State apparently didn't. 🔗 mbdsciencepolitics.substack.com/p/its-a-pass...
They don’t often get a lot of praise, so I’ll say thank you and well done to the exam boards for successfully delivering another year’s worth of Level 3 qualification results with maximum efficiency and minimum fuss @cambridgeocr.bsky.social @aqaeducation.bsky.social plus Pearson, WJEC and CCEA
If you were talking to ECTs about teaching #ALevelMaths for the first time, what advice would you give and/or resources / blogs would you point to? Obviously @susanwhitehouse.bsky.social and @mrsouthernmaths.bsky.social’s fab book. Anything else? #MathsToday
