Who in Seattle is donating to Brian Heywood's odious anti-trans, anti-tax con job, "Let's Go Washington?" Let's have a look-see. These are from public disclosures and of course, just bc someone donates doesn't mean their employer supports the grift 🧵:

In the Renaissance people theorized, since the Aeneid is great, if you wrote poems made only of words & phrases from the Aeneid rearranged they should be great too, since a great source regurgitated should yield greatness. They produced NOTHING we still read. Thinking about that a lot lately.

I really can't get over this, this is such a wild example. there was a whole Church Inquisition torturing and extorting suspected heretics in Newton's day and we are being invited to ask whether he would have survived land acknowledgments lmfao bsky.app/profile/pwhi...

It’s my fault for gambling and ordering the indistinct “meat soup” at a local restaurant (they don’t update the soup of the day online - the options are meat or veggie soup). Today it looks like I ordered a crock of stone ground mustard in place of soup.

This is what they call an "insta-buy" in the biz. Evans has a new book? No brainer. But Fari returns? Let's go. And download the entire Brimstone Angels saga to read about her rise. And then petition WotC to get them back into print. I'm sure they're tired of me askin' lmao.

I cannot tell you how much fun I had writing this book. (Literally, in this moment because I gotta get Ned to camp, BUT LATER I will try). www.polygon.com/dungeons-dra...

One of the books where I'm very confident in saying if, like me, you grew up reading 90s and 00s epic fantasies you'll absolutely love this. Should be absolutely huge, and very unlikely to disappoint millennial fantasy nerds.

Or catch up on my newer, non-tie-in work, the Books of the Usurper, which has trickier mysteries, as much magical nerdery, and several very charismatic villains. Starts with EMPIRE OF EXILES. tinyurl.com/2xajw882

Mainstream Respectable opinion is that people joking about a bad person's death represents a culture of cruelty, but really it represents a culture of impunity. It's a coping mechanism for watching someone do evil their whole life and never seeing consequences
