Just throwing this out there because I'm not in any games: had the idea of doing a Bard character, but their performance is using an elaborate puppet instead of an instrument, and channeling their manage to animate the puppet and have it cast spells as they narrate the story they're telling with it.

I wouldn't go so far as to say ANNIHILATION is the ideal superhero event comic, but I think it sets a high standard by changing the status quo of its setting in a meaningful way, revitalizing stagnant/forgotten characters, and being fun and exciting to read for its own sake.
