we are in an epidemic of USL teams with: - comedically low camera angles - numbers that are too hard to read vs. the color of the actual kit
Haven't always got enough spark from SAFC's midfield post-Hernandez injury, but I love this sequence. There's intentionality behind the marking to pin New Mexico wide, and Cristian Parano is just waiting to leak out on the weak side. Consistently forcing United to play into tight windows.
If there were a "dribble through four guys then get fouled" stat, I'm 100% sure Haruki Yamazaki would be the USL leader
Stellar pressure from Madison to make it happen. Start in 3-1-4-2ish mode with forward Josh Bolma sitting in the midfield, let Bolma push high to go man-for-man in Portland's box, and then break like the wind post-turnover to create the rebound chance for Carmichael.

Among the many reasons Hugo Bacharach rules: he gives you an extra target man in the midfield, thus allowing Stas Korzeniowski to stay high and present himself as a hold-up No. 9 as this play develops.
Nicholas Murray@njemurray.bsky.social · 6d agoI think you'd label this one a seeing-eye single to the bottom-left corner by Nick Scardina to put Rhode Island FC ahead. RIFC clinches its third postseason berth in as many years with a win tonight. #USL-C
