thinking about the popularity of so many "redraw trends" and plagiarism of compositions by all sorts of artists (it comes up often for gposing but 2D artists do it too). i have to sum up my discomfort with it as follows: it's artists treating other artists the same way A/I treats art as data

Hey, so, I have an awful fever and tonight at 2am my moms car alarm went off, which is great because she took the key with her to DC and now im $200 in the hole after calling a guy who opened the car but did not have the ability to fix the issue, anyway, it’s 5am now and im k*lling myself

The biggest thing I have learned is you rarely will ever get a drawing 100% "perfect" the first time around. Often, it will be straight up trash. So don't give up after 1 failed drawing! Either start over on new piece of paper or a new layer.

personally I think that might hit a nail, cuz beyond the struggles ppl are having with interpreting metaphor and understanding context, a lot of people consume stories in a way where they are unable to take in information and change their initial interpretation, even ppl who are very perceptive

controversial take but I think the “i can interpret this any way I want” approach to art and lit has helped no-one, like everyone will naturally have a differing perspective but that doesn’t mean consciously ignoring tex or weaving theories to fit a pre-decided belief

She has light stubble on her jaw and wears an orange and yellow vest with matching earrings
