Bluesky’s failure to replace Twitter is a symptom of the decline of social media. Widely acknowledged as a cancer on society, people have really pulled back. I think it’s actually fine that Bluesky is so small. Network effects pervert conversation and community. This is fine.

It's important to understand: social networks are not meant to be one-size-fits all! When Meta (which makes Threads, as well as Facebook and Instagram) creates platforms that have hundreds of millions of users, they do things like enable genocides, where tens of thousands of innocent people die.

Artistically speaking its ok for there to have been beer consumed at feasts at the Neolithic Ness of Brodgar on Orkney.
