Bluesky’s failure to replace Twitter is a symptom of the decline of social media. Widely acknowledged as a cancer on society, people have really pulled back. I think it’s actually fine that Bluesky is so small. Network effects pervert conversation and community. This is fine.

When Meta (which makes Threads, as well as Facebook and Instagram) creates platforms that have hundreds of millions of users, they do things like enable genocides, where tens of thousands of innocent people die.
I think the person who wrote the CBC radio news script mean the person interviewed was an “anti-human trafficking advocate.” Skipping the “anti-“ is not recommended.

Neatening up the nutso tomato patch along a south facing fence. Dumped and dug in a four year old bin of kitchen compost in the spring and, hey presto, created tomatageddon. Cutting lower leaves and lifting branches to give some hope of being able to harvest whatever is in there. #gardening
