I’m going to be at @sunnysbooktruck.bsky.social to chat with CJ Alberts 7/30 at 6:00pm! I’m can’t wait to check out the Yuma book scene. This is a free event, but please RSVP to help with the headcount. Since I love collecting ghost stories and lore, what spooky stuff should I know about Yuma?

Day 12 (of my most anticipated sapphic books): My Lips, Her Voice is a sapphic horror novel about a teenager possessed by her recently diseased sister—who is lurking under her skin, hellbent on vengeance and desperate to rekindle things with her former girlfriend. 🌈📚
Someone once told me that you only really remember the second half of the year, so maybe that explains why I feel like 2025 just started. Every half a year, I make a list of the books I'm most looking forward to in the next six months. And let me just say...the rest of 2025 is a banger. 🌈📚
I really wanted to post this last week, but the black dog bit down hard on my leg. Maryneal 1962 by @abigailtaylor.bsky.social is a tremendous novel. Powerful, moving, and highly addictive. gnofhorror.com/maryneal-196... 💙📚 🩸📚 @wildinkpublishing.bsky.social

Drinking my coffee black makes me feel like a true grown up. I need to buy creamer.
Republicans keep saying the “genuinely disabled” don’t have to worry about losing Medicaid. All disabilities are genuine. You also need healthcare to get a diagnosis. To get the paperwork done. To “prove it”. They’re ensuring people get trapped in red tape loopholes so they can’t get care.
And trust me, if you see an artist posting about stuff they sell, they are not doing so lightly or flippantly. Every act of self-promotion is like pulling out a tooth for us; every “buy my work” post takes a bit of our soul. I promise we are already in an appropriate amount of agony for These Times.
