See also the term "activist scholar," which is applied derogatorily to academics who use their expertise to advocate for Left-leaning policy, but not to Right-leaning academics, even if they take money from Right-wing groups or advocate for Right-wing causes based on dubious evidence or none at all.

Somehow, his position on the political spectrum has disappeared completely from the National and State Conversations™️
I don't trust any "creative" who isn't a little bit pensive and lustful. These are the resultant states of allowing oneself to be alone with one's thoughts for a time.
🌈 Hailey Piper 🌈@haileypiperfights.bsky.social · 2mo agoCheat code for creatives: if you let your personal sadness and genuine soul-deep horniness into your art, it's pretty much immune to being co-opted by modern fascists, who focus mainly on selling a wholesome heartland that they can use as an excuse for violence they'll label as glory.

Start creating a world for kids to grow into rather than a future they know they’ll struggle to fix. Controversial, I know.
