We’re super glad to announce that our very own founder, @zoelore.bsky.social has won the CRIT Award for Outstanding Community Member!! Three of our team got nominations but we're so proud of specifically Zoë's win for all the work she does to make this space more inclusive for ALL Women in TTRPGs.

It’s our birthday! Six years of celebrating all the amazing women in the TTRPG space, building our nerdy community, running panels with incredible speakers, raising money for important causes, telling stories and rolling dice. Thank you so much for joining us and helping us build this project.

As it was International Day of Play this week, I’ve been thinking about how important play is. Specifically how society doesn’t seem to let women in particular prioritise play. So I just wanna say I’m so happy we’re all here, playing games, rolling math rocks, and telling stories with our friends.

This has been doing some numbers, and I’m glad because it’s an important topic. I attended one of the two panels mentioned, so I’ve only got context from the @womenofttrpg.bsky.social panel. Fantastic panelists that did an incredible job with this topic. I’ll link their YouTube below 👇

The Women Of TTRPG panel at UKGE on the topic of AI and how it affects the TTRPG space, particularly minority communities. Left to right - Lyssa (host), Steph (Fistful Of Crits), Michelle (designer, EUphoria AP), Danii (model maker, Mystic Muses DnD), Kayla (Rat Wave Game House).

Posted this over on Instagram, thought I’d post it here too. I hope UKGE see this and hear us.

It’s undeniable I had a great time, but I’m including this last graphic, and imploring UKGE to take the discontent around AI ‘creators’ more seriously. As an attendee AND an exhibitor, I am SO disappointed that there is still no official stance or implemented anti-AI policy when other cons, big and small, have them. I still found exhibitors that used AI in their products, and that stand space could have gone to genuine creators that enrich this community with their creativity. I hope that the existence of two panels discussing the topic of how damaging AI can be (which notably were on at the same time...), and the popular ‘Human Made’ signs that so many exhibits displayed proudly are noted as a sign of just how many people do NOT want AI at this con. Con-goers asked us about our stance on AI before purchasing. Listen to your traders. Listen to your attendees. This matters.

We’ve had a few days to recover, but UKGE was a blast! So many amazing women writers, makers, publishers and artists all under one roof. Huge shout out to our panelists and everyone who came to our talk. It meant the world to share this important and inspiring conversation (video coming soon).

Now that we're back and somewhat recovered - Happy Pride! EUphoria is led by an all-queer team and our community is around 80% LGBTQIA+. Everyone is welcome at our tables, to celebrate, explore, and connect - we're so much stronger for our diversity.

EUphoria's signature navy blue background with yellow d4 stars and sparkles. EUphoria's logo in the centre, a round yellow frame with navy blue background, and a large shooting star made up of yellow d4s streaking from right to left, a rainbow tail trailing behind. White header text reads 'Happy Pride!'

Thank you everybody who came to this panel today and said nice things about it after - I was surprisingly nervous but once I started ranting I was on a roll, probably surprising no one Danii, Kayla and Steph all had such insightful things to say, an honour to sit alongside them

This month and every month, stand with our LGBTQIA+ siblings in community, resistance and joy. But don’t stop there. Support LGBTQIA+ creators, run queer games, create inclusive spaces, speak up. But whatever you do, don’t just stand by. It’s more important than ever.

Happy pride month. We stand with our LGBTQIA+ siblings in community, resistance and joy.
