Every government has a duty to protect its citizens. But in some parts of the world, that very institution is violating their human rights. 4 years ago, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) published its assessment of human rights concerns in the Uyghur Region.

Survivor-led organization, No one Above, has been campaigning to get justice for the survivors of the Fayed trafficking network. But justice was delayed because of statutory failures in recognising it for what it was – human trafficking.

On World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we are highlighting a growing phenomenon: the trafficking of people into scam centres. Traffickers often exploit vulnerabilities like poverty, displacement, or a lack of safe work opportunities to recruit and trap people in scam centres.
