Don't fall for the utopian view of A.I. being sold: The A.I. tech health care employers are rolling out in our workplaces is untested, unproven, unregulated,  and ultimately benefits their profit margin — not patients or nurses. thehill.com/opinion/heal...

Trust nurses, not unproven AI tools

Nurses have been the most trusted profession in the U.S. for 24 years running, and with good reason: We care about you, we fight for you, and we don’t lie. We can’t say the same about those who att…

Behold the pattern: * How bad was it & for how long, b4 women realized abusers wouldn't stop until they protested * 50 yrs seems short for a new word or phrase to exist in a language * Allowing devastating harms to continue worse, 50yrs later, even in violation of laws passed, is criminal in itself

The words didn’t exist, but the harm did. In 1975, women at #CornellUniversity gave a name to what countless women had endured in silence. Naming #sexualharassment changed the conversation, strengthened protections, and gave women language to fight back. #SheShed #EEOC

The term
"sexual harassment" is only about 50 years old, having been coined in 1975 by a group of women at Cornell University.

NB: When I, a professor of law, profess that an act is unlawful, I am not doing it to inform the lawbreaker, but rather to inform you, the reader. So the question “what, like you think he cares?” is inapposite. The question is whether *you* care. I think you should, which is why I bother.

Hey John. I don't want to speak for the OP but when I look at those statements from women, the first thing that comes to mind is "what fucked-up world do we live in that this is even necessary". Fact: 99% of assaults are by men. Men need to change so keys aren't needed. It's never about the keys.

It's so weird isn't it. It's how we view legislation on benefits or immigration: organise the entire system based on the assumption that most people are trying to cheat the system. Penalise the 99% but hope to catch out the 1%. It's illogical and cruel and in the long term costs way more in admin.
