Thom Bowers Matt Meldrum,Tommy Maras, and Mike Thiriot take the stage together for the first time in 10 years(!) to play "Atmosphere" for an awesomely enthusiastic crowd in SLC. Thanks to Raised On Promises and Club 90 for letting us share your stage for a few glorious minutes. We had a blast!
“We just couldn’t let it go!” How Matt Meldrum joined SoN.

Okay, one more #RUSH cover! Date: Nov 2019. Place: Cannon Beach, OR. Temperature: way too cold to be doing this. Song: “Making Memories” …and boy did we ever.
Matt & Thom met up in Los Angeles this week to dream some dreams, plan some plans, and witness the glorious return of RUSH. Who else was at one of the Forum shows?
It’s kinda funny that all three of us are making a face that is the opposite of our personality.
Aug 2014. Pre-show posture, Simi Valley CA
Please join us in wishing a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our multi-talented musical maestro, the mighty Matt Meldrum!
Going to post a bunch of RUSH covers I’ve played as I count down to their new tour starting next week. Here’s “Red Barchetta”, with Paul Melançon on vocals, Christian Nesmith on guitar, Bill Shaouy on keys, Mike Gamble on drums, and my own self slappin’ da bass. Enjoy!
Counting down to the first night of the new #Rush tour, here’s cover #2: “Freewill” Does prog rock work on a ukulele? Let’s find out!

Recalling SoN's first live gig, 25 years ago. "Surely they could have been other places on a Thursday night, but they chose to hang out with us. 'Right here and right now, I’m feeling pretty damn good,' I said. And I meant it." - Thom Bowers sonsofnothing.com/the-famous-f...

I love what Joel Valder did with this mix. It's leaner and meaner while also somehow being bigger and bolder. And, selfishly, it's just super satisfying to finally hear my bass given more space to punch through everything. 🤘
It's Bandcamp Friday! As promised, here's a preview of what we've been working on for the 15th anniversary of Green & Grey: a brand new remix/remaster of "Take Back The Thrown," the album's original lead single. Happy listening! sonsofnothingband.bandcamp.com/track/take-b...

#TBT September 2008. Outtake from a press kit photo shoot, with Matt Meldrum and @thombowers.bsky.social. Matt's nine year old son took the picture.
Loved playing Harry O’s. I don’t recall what was going on with the apparatus at mid stage though. We certainly didn’t bring that with us. 🤷♂️
#ThrowbackThursday March 2006. On stage at Harry O's, Park City UT
It's a big year for milestones in SoNWorld. 25th anniversary of our first album. 20th anniversary of Clarity. 15th anniversary of Green & Grey. And 10 years since we've played a live gig. We plan to commemorate all of these things, in one way or another, over the coming months. Stay tuned!
“Kriana Lake,” from the new @shaouy.bsky.social album Anything With Strings, featuring our own @thombowers.bsky.social on bass.
It was also the first time we attempted to fly an inflatable pig over a venue. Sadly, no pics of that stunt seem to have survived. And incidentally, I still have that pullover!
This was a really cool gig. First time we played SoN’s “Visiting Mussolini” live, throwing it without fanfare into the middle of the Pink Floyd tribute set to see if anyone would catch on Nobody did... or at least, nobody complained about it to us.
