Skeets 1.32.0 is out. 🧵 The big one: Skeets writes your ALT text for you now - on-device. Drop a photo into the composer and the description is already there by the time you hit post. Edit it, regenerate it, pick a different language, or switch it off entirely.

Skeets 1.31.0 is out. 🧵 The big one: your posts don't get lost any more. Hit post, then lock your phone, switch apps, whatever — the upload carries on in the background and lands on its own. Even if iOS shuts @skeetsapp.com down while it's working.

@mu.social will be available later this summer (link): In the meantime you should also consider using @skeetsapp.com (iOS) or @skywalker.thereforeiam.eu (Android)— all European made and can be used simultaneously 🙂

This is so f**king amazing. I’ve waited 3y to be able to do this. Starting in iOS27 @skeetsapp.com will start generating Auto ALT text using the free on-device models. No data sent to OpenAI or anyone else.

Liking the new @skeetsapp.com update. The Germ integration (well, connection anyways, though integration would be swwwweeeet!) seems solid, the duplicate posts thing seems to have finally been nailed, and OMG am I thrilled to see the automatic threading of posts on the Pro version.

1.29.0 is out now! Just five days after introducing full translations for your timeline, this release brings Auto-Threading. Simply type away and @skeetsapp.com will automatically split your text into a thread. Skeets Pro subscribers can use this tool with limitations.

New release 1.27.2 is available that should put a final stop to the "expired sessions" issues.

@bsky.app made some changes to the backend that cause @skeetsapp.com users to be logged out. Working on a fix right now.

Something I'm working on for the next @skeetsapp.com and @flashes.blue releases: on-device batch translations. Translate your entire timeline to your natural language. Suddenly you can communicate with people whose language you don't speak. OFC you can exclude languages you actually do speak :)

Is anyone else encountering the 1st problem David is describing here? I cannot reproduce it so far so I'm looking for clues.

The bug I mentioned a while ago is still there — when I click on the highlighted option, the whole app crashes. Every time. Also, does this version fix the situation of seeing multiple reposts of the same posts even when the option to *not* see them is on?

This is cool, and a good use of on-device AI.
