I think I was 17. I got hired at McDonalds, and the first day of training was just sitting there watching company history videos and corporate propaganda and I quit during the lunch break.

In honor of the fired lady tell me about your shortest job tenure. I worked at a candy store for less than 2 weeks when I was like 16

I have dated librarians, and you will never get them to agree to keeping libraries open 24hrs because many librarians are absolute freaks and being able to bang in the stacks is one of the most important perks of the job.

🚨 BREAKING We finally heard back from the Court of Appeal in our challenge to the EHRC's interim guidance. We've got an oral hearing to decide if we'll be given permission to appeal – hopefully by the end of this year.

We could actually really use some more support - it's been really slow lately and I'm getting a bit nervous. May try to throw together a more organized campaign in the next week or two, but for now I'd love it if you'd join or share.

Arrrrrh. I forgot to bookmark that site that works like Clearsky but doesn’t require a login. Anybody happen to recall what it is?

BREAKING NYT: Trump's new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, was fired Friday, after less than a week on the job, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Super weird. Just had a small breakfast and I’m sweating like mad. ….takes a moment to check thermometer… Ok, so, second day after the combined vaccines is when I get a bit of a temperature and the sweats. Nice

Indecent Proposal For Tax Purposes

Ah yes, nooooow everything really fucking aches and I feel like I had the life sucked out of me. It’s the vaccine equivalent of those old Head and Shoulders ads “My head is tingling” “That means it’s working!” Anyways. Get your vaccines kids, it’s still better than the real thing.

Got a text from my neighbor asking if I was having issues with my Internet. I wasn’t home at the time, but I could reach my servers, so I knew it was fine. Offered to swing by once I got home, finished up my shopping, came home to unpack foods, and headed over to his place (literally next door).

Doug Ford’s war on bike lanes isn’t about traffic—it’s part of a global right-wing backlash to vilify urban residents and defend fossil fuel interests. @breachmedia.ca dove into the politics of cycling, and debunked some myths along the way www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoCz...

Body ache? ✅ Low-grade headache? ✅ Shoulder feels like somebody took a meat tenderizer to it? ✅ Thinking somewhat slow and fuzzy (more so than baseline)? ✅ Woke up every couple of hours & gave up trying around 4am, so sleepy AF, but I can nap after work, & I’m just gonna treat caffeine like food.👍

Just came home from my anti-disease jib-jabs (will it enhance my AuDHD?) and as a heads up for others on blood-thinners, let the pharmacist know in advance so they don’t get concerned when you bleed.

Sure putting a musical on shuffle feels daring but that’s how you end up with your hands full when “Anthem” comes up unexpectedly and you can’t skip away…

@blackskyweb.xyz Hi folks, I was wondering if one set up a community on Acorn with a single feed, would that include community-only posting to that feed, and as a followup, if one limited one’s posting to that feed/community, would this - in effect - be a private account?

Aaaarrrrhhhh. Lost track of the days due to Spanksgiving and forgot I had an appointment w/my doctor today rather than tomorrow. Called in and since it’s a first offence, I’m not facing their fucking forfeit fee (which, tbh, is reasonable). Dr made a few minutes to go over meds and reschedule.

Well, while I know it’s impossible to catch up on sleep debt, my body did its level best yesterday. Went down for a nap around 4, got up for a snack and meds at 8 then down again until 11. Got myself set up for the morning and went right back down until 5:30am. That’s 12+hrs mostly unproven. Wild.

Built out something I always wanted for Spectral Codex: an atlas mode, where you can browse around by region, theme, or just explore and check out different points in the catalog. It's made for big screens but works well enough on mobile via overlays. Check it out, I'd love some feedback! 🗺️

Reposting this with alt text because anyone who thought Danny Trejo would turn his back on his whole fucking community needs to be educated, and everyone needs to be able to read this. I truly knew that it had to be something like this, but was not about to sit and argue with people online.

So Danny Trejo was manipulated and tricked into being in Ben Shapiro's newest film. Holy shit.
