This week in what the fuck is Ament doing: Ament got his ex-situationship a very thoughtful gift of a magazine with his mom on the front. She was a burlesque dancer, and he picked it up from a smut peddler. (It's not a nudey mag shush) and it was very thoughtful. But then he put this note on it.

Writing's an artform as much as communication. Sometimes sticking to standard writing conventions stifles creativity. Don't be afraid to try something different. Use unconventional punctuation, paragraph breaks, turns of phrases, etc if it helps you write. That's the human in you expressing itself.
