i expect to receive some backlash for this, but i honestly do not care as this is a shared sentiment that is often unspoken out of fear of inviting drama. if you believe that a person does not deserve to learn, grow, and improve from past mistakes, you do not belong in a community. (1/5)

Haven't done one of these in a while, so this week on what bullshit Ament is up to: Context: He's recounting the story of how he found out he was gay. Yesfir was his celebrity crush and his situationship's mom. That's who he's telling the story to. He doesn't know that detail btw KLJFDH.

Text that reads: “And I became obsessed. I watched it, over and over - same shows, same Yesfir, every night, and I grew up that way. Had her all over my room-” Our room, he thought at maman’s disapproval at a half-naked woman littering their shared space before he had been taken away, “-and vowed that if I couldn’t have her that the first person I would lose my virginity to must look something like her. And when I turned that age that sex started to be appealing, that’s exactly what happened. She was close, not a spitting image, but close. But the most peculiar thing happened and when we were laying on the bed after finishing, I realized how nothing I felt.” There was a contemplative turn of his lips, now - one of his little quirks. “So I tried again on another woman. And again. And again. I tried a few times, not understanding why I could be so enamored with Yesfir and yet none of these women who looked like her did anything for me! It had to have taken at least seven fucks for it to click. There was a pregnancy scare with one of them. I thought I was going to be a dad. That was a debacle.”

I do believe the face overhaul is done! This makes me insanely happy and it's way closer to how I see him in my head/how I draw him. It's such a small change but between the nose, lips and jawline it really does make him look less elf and more pixie, as it should be.

Since this guy is always a WIP it seems. Ament is supposed to have petite, pixie-ish features and after forever of the vanilla options not hitting quite right I decided to sculpt him a new face. It's subtle but I think it gets across what I want better! (Before and after)
