Hard agree - if a claimant files a takedown/copyright strike on however many hundreds of channels but NEVER files suit, they get their right to claim revoked. End of. If there's a strike system for us the same should apply for claimants as well.

What irks me is that there are no consequences to abusing the system. IMHO the entity not filing a suit admits wrongdoing. This needs to be disincentivized. 8deally they should be banned, increasingly longer subsequentially, from using the system. They can ALWAYS use the legal system directly.

I feel like there's a "rot" in the voiceover industry right now. It's something that's probably always been there, but I think it's been progressively getting worse. There's this strange attitude that can basically be summed up as, "F*ck y'all. I got mine." And I'd like to talk about it. 🧵

When I was young and nobody, Mike McFarland made me feel welcome in his space. When I spent three months in Dallas and he found out I was there, he welcomed me to his town and immediately put me to work. Mike was effortlessly cool and deeply kind. Cheers to a great one. 🥃🕯️

Rest in peace, Mike McFarland. Had the pleasure of working with him and whenever we exchanged messages/interacted over the years, he was always nothing if not a kind, stand up dude. Seeing everyone’s outpouring of love for him is a testament to how good of a guy he was.

Met Mike back in 2014, excited for AOT & asking for acting advice. Then, from 2019 to 2023, I got to be a part of One Piece as Momo & one of my directors was this amazing man. He was always gentle with his advice & loved making me laugh. He always knew what he wanted & his direction was spot on. 🕯️❤️
