What I hate more than instagram "artist" accounts full of genAI are ones that put "no AI" in the bio. Please, please, do your research before hiring people!

A guilty pleasure of mine is to zoom in on genAI event posters and find all the genAI tells. This is the best (worst) I've seen in a while. Gave me a good laugh. But please, events runners, stop using genAI. I'm running out of markets I can apply to trade at.
I have deleted my direct debit and informed SoA that I have cancelled my membership. I've also unpublished my profile on their website. There is NO ETHICAL USE of generative AI. Even *if* a model is trained on licensed data, the environmental impact CANNOT BE IGNORED.

Watched the trailer for The Magician’s Nephew and I can’t say I’m a fan of the style. It doesn’t feel like fantasy. I’ll try to keep an open mind but based on that trailer I won’t be watching it until I can stream it on something I already pay for.

Divest from Harry Potter and JKR, y'all. It's okay to feel sad about no longer engaging with something that meant a lot to you, but a fictional world that funds a very real assault on trans rights will never be more meaningful than caring about the safety of trans folks.

Urgggg. That was the worst nap ever. Twitchy and sweaty and four bloody hours long. I couldn’t go pick my kids up from school and barely managed to talk to them when they came home. My body is so mad at me for fantasycon 😅 I think tomorrow will be much the same.
Omg I actually managed to sleep in this morning! 100% taking a rest day though, other than picking the kids up from school. I haven’t seen them since Thursday morning because they were asleep when I got home yesterday and went to school before I woke up this morning 😭
My cat, who has apparently acted like she was missing me while I was gone, is currently giving me the cold shoulder. She really knows how to hold a grudge!

Hey, @scotrailtrains.bsky.social , why is access to toilets so bad at Glasgow Central? Two accessible toilets. And one is request only so NOT accessible at all to anyone with anxiety. Why are all the other toilets down steps? Unless I’m missing something? I can do steps, but not when I have luggage
The main character in my book Reborn in Ash is named after Ada Lovelace. Yes, I write fantasy and there is no computers or programming, but I still wanted to name a character after her. They both break ground in their fields in a male dominated world.

re FantasyCon I’m so sorry if I didn’t recognise you from social media or I met you this weekend & subsequently forgot that I met you. I’m terrible with faces as it is but I’ve had worse brain fog than usual because of pushing my ME/CFS (more like fog of war). I appreciate everyone who spoke to me❤️
