this is so funny. If AI disappeared tomorrow I'd save five minutes a day of clicking "report phishing" on slop emails, and half an hour a day of arguing with my children about why you should not "ask Chat" for eg a brownie recipe when Nigella's Domestic Goddess is RIGHT THERE

I was looking at a new book by an author I've tried and enjoyed, and came across myself in the list of praise. Which is absolutely fine: if I have reviewed you, quote me with abandon! THAT SAID, if you could choose a quote that DOESN'T make me look like an entire idiot, that'd be great.
It is my hope that when I die, the world doesn't say a loud "good riddance bitch." I am trying to avoid that fate by *not* being a spectacularly awful person. However, if I do become awful, have at it. aka: Consequences.

Rod Liddle was very much like Marmite, in that you wouldn’t want him on your television screen, radio, or newspaper.
Whenever I hear people saying that figures who were vile in public, and actively made life worse for other people through their actions or words, were kind in private, I think that they should have applied themselves to greater consistency across all areas of their lives.
I don't think people are ready for this kind of joke yet.
It does feel weirdly like whoever's been backing Farage has decided to teach him a lesson/dump him.

Farage announcement on small boats only gets the third spot and is balanced by critics saying he's trying to distract from allegations over his finances. Quite the change from the uncritical coverage earlier this year.
I have never encountered Lynne Freeman's work and I intend to keep it that way.

This litigation went on for three years before a judge finally read both books and said there was zero infringement.

Did my presentation thing on self editing at the RNA Conferences. Was a bit worried that it went into the weeds of punctuation specifics. Then we had the questions and that was literally all everyone wanted to ask about.
