Very happy to have shared the first results of my PhD research on the Leguminose project at the beautiful Ecology of Soil Microorganisms conference in Helsinki #esm2025 @pathanshamina.bsky.social
Today, I had an exiting opportunity to present our first results to the #esm2025 audience. 🤩 We are searching for an answer to the question ”Does the interaction of fungi and plants drive soil carbon stabilization in the boreal forests?”. Hopefully, the results will be published later this year. 🤩
Great week at #esm2025 in Helsinki! We shared our latest work on soil methanotroph and nitrifier viruses 🦠😁
great science, cool people, a beautiful city, and I won a poster prize - I had a awesome time at the @esmmicrobes.bsky.social conference!
Honoured to receive a poster prize for my work on factors limiting microbial growth and its link to microbial use of soil organic matter. Grateful for the recognition - and what an inspiring conference it was!
#esm2025 is proud to publish @isme-microbes.bsky.social award winners: Anna Burns, Nompumemelo Dammie and Agnieszka Rzepczynska. Congrats for the memberships!

It was my pleasure to give a talk on Energetic and metabolic costs of organic P mineralization at #ESM-2025 in Helsinki this afternoon. Very thankful to @dfg.de for funding my project and @michaeladippold.bsky.social for hosting me at your group at Uni Tübingen.
Great talk from Guusje Koorneef about Roadmaps to improve #SoilHealth in EU at #ESM-2025 in Helsinki. Cool plan to follow!
Take-home message from Roey Angel: methanogenic Methanobacterium appears to be very common in upland soils as well. #esm2025
Soon to be a PhD Sirja Viitamäki presenting oroartic tundra microbes and their relationship with GHG emissions and vegetation. #esm2025
The last day of #esm2025 congress starts with Chris Greening talking about microbial oxidation of atmospheric trace gases affecting global change.
Happy to present some of my recent research at the ESM meeting in Helsinki today @esmmicrobes.bsky.social 🦠
Christoph Tebbe asked an important question: Can microbiome data help us identify healthy soils? #esm2025 #soils #soilhealth
Update on role and importance of #Microbiomes for #soilhealth from Chris Tebbe on #ESM2025 @esmmicrobes.bsky.social
Christoph Tebbe is talking about limitations and perspectives of monitoring the diversity of soil microbes as soil health indicators #esm2025
Jose Siles talks about relationship between microbial diversity and biomass across Europe (LUCAS network). #esm2025
First speaker of the day, Petr Kohout is telling us about ericoid mycorrhizal fungi and their specific features and global distribution. #esm2025
Tatiana Demina introduced #esm2025 community novel Tunturi virus isolates from Finnish Arctic tundra soils.
Christina Hazard says that richness of interacting virus populations increases with methylotroph host activity. #esm2025
