TW: sexual assault. If you're not on other platforms, you might have missed that comedians Dauood Naimyar & Jay Rich have been accused of rape in the wake of the #iamjanedoe phenomenon. They both are or were Bay Area comedians. Solidarity with the women who came forward. No peace for rapists.

The City Council unanimously approved $466.6 million in funding that will be doled out to developers, nonprofits, land trusts and other organizations to build and renovate affordable housing. The pool of money is the largest in the city housing department's history, topping last year's $387 million. Roughly 70% of the record budget will come from Measure ULA, the so-called mansion tax, which levies a 4% or 5.5% tax on L.A. property sales above $5.4 million. Accountability was top of mind during Tuesday's City Council meeting. The spending plan, which now awaits Mayor Karen Bass' approval, includes an amendment requiring the housing department to provide quarterly updates on where the money is going, as well as project timelines and any significant delays or challenges. The first question is why Thanos didn't snap more food. The 2nd question is why the rules of the infinity stones and gauntlet specifically required a snap. Why couldn't he jazz hands away half of life on earth? Give it the finger? Shadow puppets? What if he was moist and couldn't snap well?

Trump, empowered by SCOTUS, entered office convinced he could do insider trading, sell pardons and favors, take bribes, steal and openly flout the law. Now, with the prospect of investigations looming, he is growing ever more fearful that he miscalculated.
