Who gets to teach about #OpenScience, and who learns? With our new workshop plan, we want to flip the script. Grateful to co-lead the creation of the plan (V1 👀) with @nscorralfrias.bsky.social & our amazing @abrir.bsky.social team Details 👇 www.linkedin.com/posts/abrirp... @orca-open.bsky.social

Square poster. The main text reads: “Our first ABRIR workshop plan is here! With ORCA’s support, we’re piloting a new way to strengthen DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in open science — by reversing who gets to teach and who learns. To make open science truly global and equitable, we need to learn from the strengths of Majority World researchers.” Smaller text reads: “Developed with support from the Open Research Community Accelerator (ORCA) and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (Award Number: #20160-2025-10).” The poster also includes the ABRIR logo and a QR code leading to https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17244026

I am nervous but also excited about this. Expressing excitement is not my strength; rest assured I am feeling it inside. I am also glad that I am not alone and continue to be grateful for the cheers and support from my colleagues at @abrir.bsky.social @almajeftic.bsky.social @brendanchng.bsky.social
