🚨 New paper out! “Weeds in a changing climate” is the result of a great collaboration between Montpellier and Wageningen, bringing together weed ecologists, functional ecologists, agronomists, and soil ecologists to explore the role of weeds in cropping systems under climate change.

📢New paper led by our own Marie Zwetsloot. 🌱Weeds aren’t just pests - they can act as climate‑smart service plants that support water and climate regulation in agroecosystems, as long as farmers prevent competition. ▶️https://nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ppp3.70181

Which regions have the highest levels of invasion of plants in aquatic habitats? Which aquatic invasive plants are most widely distributed? Does the vulnerability of aquatic habitats to invasions differ in temperate vs. tropical regions? Find the answers in this new global synthesis just published.

As part of our Invasions in Aquatic Systems special issue, researchers present a global synthesis of naturalised and invasive plants in aquatic habitats: doi.org/10.3897/neob...

Very happy and proud to be part of this great collaborative work led by Alessandra Kortz et al., providing a global overview of naturalised and invasive plants in aquatic habitats! A global synthesis of naturalised and invasive plants in aquatic habitats neobiota.pensoft.net/articles.php...

A global synthesis of naturalised and invasive plants in aquatic habitats

Global databases have contributed to our understanding of alien, naturalised and invasive plant species distributions. Still, the role of species invasions in habitats, specifically in aquatic habitat...
