Really great to see this work on how good heat pump installs can be. An average seasonal performance factor (sCOP) of 3.9 beats gas on running costs, even in the UK where the price ratio between gas and electricity is so bad.

No surprise: new analysis shows that heat pumps can deliver excellent performance even in older buildings with no meaningful correlation between building age & heat pump efficiency. This is in line with my own experience of having a heat pump in a 1880 Victorian home with only modest insulation.

Yes, BUT the Isle of Man banned fossil fuel heating systems for all new buildings. So they’re not lax about regulations for everything.

It's arrived! Thanks to Mars from Renewable Heating Hub for sending over a copy of his new book. It's a fantastic resource for homeowners considering a heatpump, or trying to optimise an existing system. I'm proud to have contributed in a small way 😀

There's not many 10-year-old cars with software this good, or 130kW+ charging speeds! The combination of autopilot and free charging make this the best road trip EV, Tesla was so far ahead of other manufacturers back in 2015, it's a shame they've lost their way a bit...

We're on the verge of the heating season in North Wales, temperature is dropping to 11C, my newly installed Grant Aerona 290 heatpump has started trickling some heat in, impressive low modulation of 2.2kW (366W electrical) from this 9kW unit, COP of 5.7 at the moment 👍

It's good to be back #Ceuse 😃
