Genuinely, this concern about AI is one of the reasons why I think having friction in video games is good and why it's increasingly important to have games that simply exist instead of catering to our expectations. Reposting this message from Kojima about "pre-digested" art:

For all intensive purposes I am recovering from carpal tunnel syndrome caught in early stages so personal art will be a bit slower as I will be prioritizing work and commissions Can't take me away from what I love though

Reasons I have not been posting pixel art 1: the world seems to be ending 2: my pixel art is mostly secret paid works 3: screens are painful after a while of staring 4: it's hard to be motivated when i feel like i still have so much to learn 6: i wish to experiment more with it 7: perfectionism grr
