Iran is an excellent example of the quiet ennui that sets in over a populace when the new reality hits and it becomes dangerous to do anything but what you are told. It's 50 years later, people are being hanged left and right and the Iranian people finally appear to be getting pissed. 50 years.
We are not that far off from artists giving command performances at the Trump Center or being quietly disappeared into the night.
