We're kinda spoilt for new Heretics and Hexens these days, huh? On top of these, there's the Hands Of Necromancy series, the entire Abysm mod series (five Hexen-meets-Souls-likes!), we've got Amid Evil and its expansion, Faithless (fantastic mod) is leaving early access soon, and probably many more

Hello everyone!

Sorry we’ve been gone so long, we know you all have missed us. Your support has meant a lot to us, truly.

As some of the more perceptive of you have noticed, we are back up! We need a little time to crank up the engines again, but we’re moving as fast as we can.

First, to address some concerns: No, we weren’t banned, and no we weren’t in any trouble. We paused the service ourselves, and it was always meant to be a temporary hiatus. It just took a bit longer than intended.

To put it simply, AIMod had gotten a lot bigger than anyone on the team ever thought it would. We decided that we needed to take a breather and figure out how to best address some of the concerns we’d been hearing from the community as well as implement some extensive technical overhauls.

In short, we put things on hold while we made some big changes under the hood.

Updates:

In pursuit of complete transparency, we have added a ton of information to our handbook about who we are and how we work. There is also now an extensive section on AI detection for anyone who wants to know what methods we use to make our labeling choices.

We have added a query system so you can check if you have any AI labels on any post on your account, all without subscribing to the service.

Our honorable founder, @davis.social, has stepped down from their role and will no longer be taking an active role in running the service. This is an amicable departure - he just has a lot on his plate and, to be completely honest, people were being very mean to him.

it really has to be said, human-made art (including the “”bad”” art!), and just human-made stuff in general, will just never cease to be awesome, or cease at all for that matter. i cannot appreciate the unbound creativity and love put into all of it enough. That sorta thing will never be replaced.

you put in the love and effort to make something, you had the confidence to make it and show what awesomeness you had, you didn’t sell your soul to ai, you didn’t give up, pushing on despite the amount of stuff going on, like damn. Y’all absolutely deserve all the love.

if theres any indicator that art and creativity will stay strong and never die and/or be replaced: definitely Artfight. site with so much creativity and love that it gets ddos’d by the sheer amount of traffic every year, the strength of y’all is just unparalleled.
