We had ourselves a lovely PSN outage, we see. Just one of many things that can go wrong with an all-digital future in the way Sony's shapes up to be. Be careful what you wish for.

Sony is making a clown of itself here. In all seriousness, knowing the internet, we understand why the social media team is avoiding the whole situation. But if this company truly cares about its customers, it will address their concerns. People…what are we doing?! www.reddit.com/r/StopKillin...

Sony is desperately trying to sweep things under the rug. Make sure they run out of brooms. Keep the pressure up! FIGHT FOR PHYSICAL GAMES AND OWNERSHIP!

While we’re not pleased with the ESA’s behavior (obviously), we’ve received reports of serious threats toward individuals. This behavior does not reflect SKG’s values and anyone found to be doing this will be banned immediately.

This is a grim moment for the gaming community. Sony PlayStation announced today that it will cease all physical games production in 2028. This will essentially erase legal game preservation and ownership on their platform. The ESA lied to lawmakers to bring down the POG Act ...

Sony killing physical games will have more ripple effect than we first envision. It will hurt retailers. It will damage any affiliate marketing. This will hurt media and creators depending on affiliate income like us. Which means less exposure for games. Which will hurt sales.

One thing should now be very clear: Ubisoft is not the biggest player pulling the strings of lobbies like ESA and VGE. Sony now has a prime interest from 2028 going forward that customers don't have the slightest say. SKG needs to succeed or we can kiss this hobby goodbye.

ESA updated their statement to games media, a third time after saying community servers are "the black market of video games", "illegal", and "piracy" to the California State Senate. They tripled down, updated their statement, and caused a bill to fail We wonder: What will be the consequences?

A US bill requiring paid games to be playable after they shut down has failed to pass a Senate vote. Stop Killing Games says it will "come back with an in-person lobbying presence [and] the funding to do this properly". www.videogameschronicle.com/news/us-bill...

Embarrassing, ESA & VGE. Some of your own peers already opposed your claims several times. You're rapidly destroying any good will people might have left for companies. Seems like you let some corpos abuse you for spreading an agenda and you ignorantly hurt others in the process.

Congratulations ESA, you’ve won this round and handed us the legitimacy boost of the century by doubling down. Let's not forget that Minecraft's EULA explicitly allows for private servers, and that there is a popup warning when you try to play multiplayer saying Mojang/Microsoft is not liable
