LA folks! I’m doing my spooky little ghost story show at The Lyric Hyperion on Sunday, October 25th at 5:30p (a much more reasonable witching hour.) If you’re looking for something Halloweeny to do, I’d love to have you there! Tix here: www.eventbrite.com/e/i-dont-wan...

The precision with which my friends give me gifts that they know I’ll love really reveals just how much my inner self is accurately perceived by the world.

Sometimes you just need to say, "Help is on the way, dear."
I’m dying over this actual poster for “What Lies Beneath.” So hilariously rude to depict a famously hot ghost this way.

The best edit I’ve seen in weeks, you absolutely have to turn the sound on for this one.
That “weather man of D-Day” movie is perhaps the most dad-bait looking film to ever exist.
Interesting that in the Power Rangers’ bench of largely mononymous villains, only Rita Repulsa and Ivan Ooze seem to have first and last names. Anyway, job hunt is going great.
Thinking today about something my brother used to say. So I wrote about it for Memorial Day. andrewduncanfarmer.substack.com/p/the-milita...

Watching “Pillion” was pretty wild until I realized that getting a BFA in Acting was fairly comparable. Lotta roleplay and moving furniture at the behest of a mean, tall man.
I’ve been thinking about Rod Serling’s work a lot lately. So I wrote this little yarn. andrewduncanfarmer.substack.com/p/his-eyes

Truly one of the funniest people who ever lived. There are no laugh lines in this entire sequence and yet she effortlessly makes a comedic meal out of every moment.

This part of the last chapter in Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” always brings tears to my eyes. Scrooge goes from fearing, resenting and isolating himself from humanity, to finding the joy of immersing himself in it. A reminder so potent today it makes my heart ache.
Air travel reeeeally brings out my Catholic upbringing. I just earnestly had the thought “People these days don’t feel enough shame.”
