Anyway, thinking about giving up writing. For a myriad of reasons, not least of which that over 20 years, 98% of my output has been met with a resounding 'Meh'. If I had a soul, I'd say it's soul-crushing.

 Cam darted a glance up at the elevator’s ceiling. Surveillance cameras. He resisted the urge to wave. And also the urge to answer Chris’s question. He had to be cool now, collected, not the same idiot who had picked a fight with Kenneth Lefler’s friends even though they had all deserved it. My main source of work and entertainment is out of the office today, so I have to figure out what to do with the free time. Could read a book. Could doomscroll. Could do some harmless flirting. Think I'll wander on over to the warehouse and annoy a different coworker, however.

Two things: One, I feel like an unfiltered bag of ass this morning. Two, I absolutely hate writing pricing algorithms, so why did I decide to take on a project that's almost exclusively that? Because I'm a self-loathing idiot, that's why.
