Please forward this to scicomm people you know! As a scicommer myself, I know how incredibly scary it is to be in the arena right now. There is very real professional and personal risk. Scicommers are putting out their necks and deserve to be recognized and even celebrated in times of darkness.

As someone who’s walked past protests *against* CDC at campus a number of times, this makes my heart full. Big protest in *support* of CDC ❤️ More of this please. Your front line workers need it.

Due to the layoffs I am afraid that we have had to take over the running of the US National Parks. We are updating the park regulations but for now the most important thing people can do before visiting a national park is to marinade themselves for 12 hours in olive oil, lime juice & garlic.

Scientists are called on more and more to respond to questions about their results. We tried to put down some ideas for the best ways to do that based on our years of observing these interactions. Engaging is better than not, especially when science is under attack. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

This is unbelievably stupid and makes clinical trial evidence worse for all. The reason is simple: clinical trial recruitment is hard, you nearly always get weird disproportionate participation. To counter that, you need active measures so trials can simulate YOU. www.reuters.com/business/hea...
