This is a great example of why you should disable Steam's dumb language filters. Most people are only seeing a random visual novel they never heard about with a couple of reviews. It has over 10,000 reviews. These filters do nothing except lock you in inside a bubble.

Sweet Home now has English, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese localizations! It is a queer visual novel about coming of age in a small Chinese town and has become a sensation since its release last August store.steampowered.com/app/3528450/...

Noticing a small trend of horror-adjacent games whose main hook is demonizing women in love, with some games quite literally turning a woman into a monster obsessively terrorizing their male love interest (popular example being MiSide)😅 Not new to other forms of media but seems new to games

The Chinese public's obsession with Li Yiyun needs to be studied, her very existence is triggering to our culture on some level: she's a woman who not only left China for the US but also writes in English exclusively, AND from which she gained huge success. She's also a mother who refuses to atone

Today I tried perler beads crafting for the first time with my friend, it became a viral sensation in China in the past couple of years almost out of nowhere I used to do water painting lessons with this friend every other weekend so it feels nostalgic to do crafts with her

Had a very busy day at/around ChinaJoy – had a few meeting near the venue, did a quick walkthrough inside the business area and talked to some devs, showed some friends around Nanjing Rd/the Bund area, then travelled across the city to a big indie game showcase featuring nearly 100 games
