This is a great example of why you should disable Steam's dumb language filters. Most people are only seeing a random visual novel they never heard about with a couple of reviews. It has over 10,000 reviews. These filters do nothing except lock you in inside a bubble.

Art school women’s toilet cubicle wall writings are always elite
Noticing a small trend of horror-adjacent games whose main hook is demonizing women in love, with some games quite literally turning a woman into a monster obsessively terrorizing their male love interest (popular example being MiSide)😅 Not new to other forms of media but seems new to games
My 2-year cycle of playing The Sims 4 intensively for a week then never touch it begins once again

Survived yet another gamescom, despite this being my fourth time, it does not get significantly easier, there’s always a lot to reflect on both professionally and logistically 🙏💀
You may not like it, but this is what peak localization looks like (Asterix: Mega Madness (PS1, 2001))

The Chinese public's obsession with Li Yiyun needs to be studied, her very existence is triggering to our culture on some level: she's a woman who not only left China for the US but also writes in English exclusively, AND from which she gained huge success. She's also a mother who refuses to atone

Had a good few hours of laughs last night watching clips Honestly the sentiment for the movie is so different in the English speaking world lol
There's a new animated film out in China called Niu Lai that was made by a man and his mother over 5 years without any investment, marketing, or promotion. It made $1,100 from a few hundred people in attendance over its first 10 days, with many shocked that this could make it to the big screen.

Had a very busy day at/around ChinaJoy – had a few meeting near the venue, did a quick walkthrough inside the business area and talked to some devs, showed some friends around Nanjing Rd/the Bund area, then travelled across the city to a big indie game showcase featuring nearly 100 games
