I’m rewatching Halloween 4 + realized something. Jamie is set up to already have a psychic connection with Michael Myers right from the start. She dreams about him even though she never met him and didn’t know he wore a mask/what it looked like. She also hallucinates kid Michael at the drug store 🤔

Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is THE horror film of 2026
I love one location horror, but this was a slog. A good 45-50 minutes could have been cut and it would have been a much leaner and more efficient thriller. But everything else about this was great, from set design to the lead performance. I wish I could see a much shorter alternative cut ⭐️⭐️

If y’all haven’t seen FRANKIE, MANIAC WOMAN yet, I highly recommend it. A bloody romp with an incisive commentary on society’s obsession with thinness, fat bodies, and how even the most well-intentioned people can cause damage. Plus there’s some wonderful practical effects 🤌🏻 Now on VOD! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I finally watched PASSENGER. I love the premise of a demonic entity tormenting #VanLife couples and loner nomads, but a handful of very good scares can’t save this. Something somewhere got lost in translation. A real bummer… ⭐️
The first third is solid, but it quickly starts to feel like A Quiet Place in a lot of ways. A great premise flounders when nothing much happens in the last third. And what ends it all is pretty damn silly 🤷🏻♀️ ⭐️⭐️

I finally watched SOULM8TE. Firstly, how the title is stylized still pisses me off. Secondly, it pales in comparison to COMPANION. BUT there were some pretty gnarly setpieces, particularly the penis sex kill and the severed arm car hood scene 🤌🏻 ⭐️⭐️1/2
