Every day, plants - big and small - use water and the energy from the sun to regulate our climate and keep us cool. All plants do this, from a slender blade of grass to a towering beech tree. We can grow new plants and look after the ones we already have. We can grow more and cut less.

"Going out with the group is a great escape for me. Talking to like-minded people is a great relief. Something to look forward to each fortnight.” - a Carer from our Creative Spaces group this #CarersWeek Free monthly groups across rural Cornwall. 01726 222900 | creativespaces@sensorytrust.org.uk

It’s Dementia Action Week and we know that for many people living with dementia in Cornwall, getting outside simply doesn’t happen without support. Often no car. No nearby family. No group that fits. This week’s Walk and Laugh group @Cotehele was closer to “can’t walk because laughing too much!"

Red Moor are catching the rain! 🌧️ We installed the coolest drainpipe structure along with a local designer, it collects the rain from their guttering and diverts it into a sponge garden below. Soon it'll be full of climate resilient plants 💪

We've been training up the staff in our Climate Cooler Schools, celebrating all that the students have already done with us, looking ahead to all that we've got planned and finally talking about climate friendly changes for their site and if any of those ideas could travel home with them.

Cover Crops ❇️ Students in our Climate Cooler Schools sowed a cover crop to protect the soil from the elements and to provide structure for the soil. Whilst the flowers are around it's great food for the bees 🐝 Next they'll dig the plants into the soil to add valuable nutrients.

🎉 The flowers are out in Liverpool 🌻 In March, we joined the Scouse Flowerhouse at St Vincent's School to help spread the incredible climate repairing message of the wildflowers. It's now the most fantastic wildflower meadow, all going to help cool our planet! Plants are so cool! #ClimateAction

What a great time we had at the Deaf-led Earthly Wellbeing Festival! Our very own Wendy was a speaker & introduced one of our favourite tabletop demos. We explored how water behaves on different surfaces. It's amazing to see people discovering the magic simplicity of the demo for themselves #BSL
