Comic colourist (on the Eisner-nommed Hocus Pocus among others) and inveterate doodler

Local arty cinema doing cool "toddler film" events, decide to get involved and find they want an eye-watering £15 a ticket plus another fifteen for each adult, crikey very few other things for kids have such a prohibitive mark-up on them !

I have started a secret art jam group on a non-US theft engine supporting server. If you want to join my quiet idyll, give me a honk and I'll tell you know how. Our current theme is essentially "ancient horror" and we've been beavering away on dark visions. More to come, do join us.

Rare bit of fan art for me for SNL UK, fair play to it, despite being tethered to the American format it can get genuinely very dark and weird. Really enjoyed the "pork board" sketch in the last episode 😅

Found out that Sam Kieth has died. I utterly adored his bizarre style, this Wolverine v Cyber issue came to me in a random bag of comics and it was mindblowing. It didn't look like anything else at all and I loved that.

To say I'm a massive fan of Red Dwarf is an understatement... I was so fixated on it as a kid that school had to contact my parents and ask them to "make me watch something else". Thanks Rob Grant, rest in peace. ((Ross Bampfylde art - my colouring, from yonks ago))

These lads know how to tell great stories and it's been a great pleasure seeing these slowly come to being so please DO check out their history-tacular, pet-nificent books. Buy one for each of your kids. Buy another for each of your pets. Then buy one for every historical figure to have ever lived.

“A feat so amazing, I am forced to point it out myself!” Lovely to read this from the charming (and very hirable) Owen, who has brought so many of our comics to life. In fact, you can sing Collver, Worth and Watts to the same tune as Boggis, Bunce and Bean. Check out the full article below!

“Now it goes without saying that the two of us are also indebted in a lot of these projects to the writing genius that is journo and writer Rik Worth and it was on our work for public health consultancy Transmissable on Thalidomide that I got to see first-hand how deftly Rik can weave a logical and emotive narrative out of dense and knotty subjects. Jordan then turning this into thoughtful and impeccable vision. You can read the Thalidomide comic here and the dream team has now found great success applying their serious storytelling skills to ancient history in Pets Tell Tales for Hachette.”

Followed by comic panels depicting a snake, a casuceus and prosthetics.

A post about the magic of my science communication colouring work, all done with the wondrous @jordancollver.bsky.social - doing covers for MedMaster creates a really nice thematic interaction with my NHS laboratory job as well 🧬🔬 owenwattsdraws.substack.com/p/master-of-...

A lovely little insight into the chromatic wizardry of my good friend and comic-spirator Owen, including our collaborations with @rikworth.bsky.social and @itraineu.bsky.social. My freelance career wouldn't be what it is without any of them! Thanks Mr. Watts🖖
