It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about board game inlay pieces. I recently got a 3D printer and have been experimenting with the best way to print more game components. I’m currently working on a better box organization for Unstable Game’s Twisted Cryptids, and I’m loving it!

I’m really proud of myself. I’m working on my text-based hybrid boardgame/videogame. It’s all coming together in small pieces, and I just figured out how to host my code on mobile devices and still have it work without internet connection. Things are looking promising!

The approach to making my game that I have used in the past was very much focused on the content that I wanted to include. I think that having those requirements in mind has made it a lot easier for me to succeed further on this attempt. It has given me the knowledge of what I need first.

I’m starting to work on more boardgame projects again. There’s this text-based adventure game that I’ve been working on since 2020 that I’m taking another stab at. This is (hopefully) going to be version 4 of this game… and probably the 10th time I’ve attempted to rewrite the code from scratch.

So… we might be buying a house soon. I’m terrified, but the good kind of terrified

Creative projects are tough. The tougher thing is when you have a lot of projects and no energy or direction to work on any of them. When I get home tonight, it’s either a choice between playing games or working on designing boardgame stuff… I’m heavily procrastinating video editing and I’m sorry

I’m 3D modeling board game box inserts again. It’s such a tedious process of trial and error, but it’s gonna be so nice to have my game shelf feel more organized if I can condense the number of boxes with stuff like these.

Hearing praise from people in your social circles is one thing, but hearing that you’re doing a good job from a total stranger really just hits different. 🥰

I don’t talk about my day job much, but I find it funny what I come across sometimes. I work in insurance, servicing small businesses across the US. While usually I get fitness studios, plumbers, cafes, etc… on occasion, I see something out of left field that’s either really cool or really weird

I’m really happy that I got my video game list done… at least to the best of my ability at the moment. It’s kind of funny to see the old game that I’ve never finished that I theoretically could go back to. I also ranked everything that I’ve played, and it’s really cool to see what tops the list

I might have burnt myself out with trying to mod. I can understand a lot of stuff, but when it comes to how the games choose certain files or values, I’m completely lost

I had a weird dream last night that I showed up to my high school reunion wearing my fursuit, and somehow everyone was ok with that. I was also forced back onto the swim team for a practice, and I realized how out of shape since high school I’ve become.

It’s been a tough winter, but I am finally coming out of my funk. At least, I hope I am. It’s not quite there yet, but I’m feeling motivated to pick up another project again.
