I was the opposite. I was NEVERRRR getting a masters..but with my Bachelor's I was gonna make $30k/year. Canceled my PhD apps in the final spring of my Masters because I didn't need to be doctor. By October, I applied to exactly two programs, partially because I never wanted to take the GRE again.
