a lot of people talk about being motivated by spite, which I admit to being a thing in the very (very) short term for me sometimes haha. but overall nah. passion, excitement, love for it is what motivates me. spite is a flame that flares up periodically; the other stuff is what keeps you warm
Sometimes you realise you can paint textures directly onto the model and enter a fugue state for a few hours
