I agree that the tech backlash has a lot to do with the fact that Silicon Valley has pretty much given up on giving us cool things - and has trained us to assume that tech products that *seem* cool are probably secretly evil. I wrote about this last year:

If nothing else, the sudden flood of horrible articles last week has confirmed beyond all doubt that all frothing transphobes are also frothing ableists, and therefore their shameless attempts to pit trans and disabled people against each other are mendacious in the extreme and not worth attention.

Today The cabbage patch lost one of their beautiful friendos. She was a soul who forever had joy and love to share, and treated all of us as family. Being able to hold a memorial for her at her home in game... its very bittersweet. Knowing she found friends in my wee community will mean everything

1) This weekend we were able to take part in our first ever Tyria Pride. This in-game event has been held for the last 10 years, and gets bigger and better every year! We were so delighted to be able to attend as new and returning players, and there were SO MANY PEOPLE there!!!!!
