When it comes to "where do we run our AI" - we don't need more "internet sandboxes" like the social media platforms of yore, and harnesses are great but cheap and disposable. What should we focus on? Building auditable, durable systems of record with federated JIT access.

“Vibe coding” means too many things. I propose that we use it for code gen by non-programmers, and bring back “pair programming”, now for “agent + developer sharing a console” This is also distinct from automated/agentic codegen.
