"hey catshaped how did you not realize this sooner" well you see i simply thought other people were the ones being weird because i assumed my experience was the default when my experience was very much not the default. hope this helps #art

panel 1: orange cat looks down at phone. "idk why people care so much about being single... you have hobbies. you have friends. if you're desparate i think something's wrong with you" panel 2: orange cat with a confused expression. "actually, have i ever had a genuine romantic crush? the only examples i can think of are sexual attraction" panel 3: orange cat with a shocked expression with an aromantic pride flag overlayed on top. "Oh."

So, my state's website says these go into effect super fast. I don't know how I'm going to keep being able to pay my bills and feed myself. I hate to ask for help but more subscribers to my Patreon would help make up for my other job, but, I'm also wondering if anyone would want weekly comm streams?

I didn't realize the new federal benefits work requirements went into effect this year and they have got me screwed with my next semiannual reporting, I'll be real. I don't make enough from Patreon and my job combined (since my job is so inconsistent) to meet what they want

Just a periodic reminder that it's a good idea to bookmark your favorite artists' sites, sign up for their newsletters, and follow them everywhere you can. (My links are in my profile & pinned post!). Because of the current climate of censorship you never know where we'll get kicked off of next.

an art tutorial about shading, featuring an orange cat. it discusses two methods of shading: using a multiply layer, and hand-picking colors. it also discusses other tips such as thickening lines, blending, and coloring lines
