🧵Since 2012, Kurdish activists have been holding a vigil in front of the Council of Europe calling for release of the Kurdish revolutionary leader of PKK (The Kurdistan Workers' Party) Abdullah Öcalan. With my colleagues of @left.eu I attended the vigil in Strasbourg.
The Returns Regulation has been approved by the coalition of the EPP and the far-right, with the complicity of the liberals. A disgrace. The Left will always resist these racist and xenophobic policies.

In her address to the European Parliament this morning, Ursula von der Leyen once again failed to condemn US and Israeli massacres of civilians from Tehran to Beirut. Not one mention of the bombing of Minab school which killed over 150 people, most of them schoolchildren.
