What I don't understand about Rayner's comments on banning crypto donations is, once more, that these *are not* donations in crypto, they're donations from crypto billionaires The donations aren't in crypto because pretty much nobody does anything in crypto (except money launders, drug dealers etc)

The Canadian boycott isn't a response to the trade war. It's a response to the clowning: 51st state jokes, "Governor Carney," a hockey video of Trump beating up their PM. My guess: the consumer boycott is costing us more than the tariffs ever will. https://youtu.be/lsRhHpwZfOk

Until we grapple with the topic of 'free movement', the UK is going to keep ar$ing around on Europe.
Osborne: "If I was Andy Burnham, I don’t see why you wouldn’t rejoin the customs union. It’s a pretty straightforward decision because unlike (rejoining) the single market it does not require you to accept the free movement of people" www.theguardian.com/business/202...

Privatisation means our water only serves shareholders, while we get hosepipe bans, sewage and higher bills Stephen Fry sent this message to Keir Starmer and Steve Reed in February 2025. They failed to listen Andy Burnham needs to listen because more than 8 in 10 of us agree with Stephen Fry
Trump claims that he graduated 1st in his class at the U of Penn's Wharton School in 1968. But research by student newspaper "The Daily Pennsylvanian" showed that Trump's name was missing from the 1968 Wharton Dean's List of top 56 students. But keep checking the mailbox for that $5k check, folks.

I’m just a person on my fucking knees begging the government to use its absolutely massive majority to do something extremely fucking popular: save our democracy.
Reform UK and Christopher Harborne say the mega-donor crypto billionaire is living in the UK (so the overseas donor cap supposedly won't affect him). Since when? A claim form filed by Harborne in the High Court only this June lists his address as (still) in Bangkok...
It’s not just the scale of the money. It’s also the character of the people making the donations which is extremely worrying - as I argued in this thread over the summer ⬇️
The Telegraph just gave a convicted criminal a two-page spread to explain why he's pumping £4 million into Reform UK. They tucked his criminal record away in the small print. So as a former financial crime specialist I’ll do their job for them👇

I did a somewhat deep dive into the recent OpenAI and Anthropic "hacks" for an upcoming interview. IMO, the AI companies are better off running with the "rogue AI" story because the real story is actually pretty embarrassing. Like making your Wi-Fi password "wifi" embarrassing. 🧵

We were promised a better postal service, at lower prices. We got neither. Privatisation failed It would cost just 0.1% of the UK national debt to buy back Royal Mail In public hands, we can reinvest profits from parcels into improving the overall service and run it solely in the public interest
