We stand with our partners for safe streets to call on SFMTA to maintain the left turn restrictions on Valencia. Reintroducing left turns, as the agency and Mayor Lurie are proposing, would undermine safety for people walking and biking without improving driving. sfbike.org/news/open-le...
A pedestrian was killed yesterday by a driver on the Great Highway, the 24th traffic death this year. City employees are being threatened with violence when they try to prevent these deaths. The violence is one way in SF, and headlines like this one aren’t helpful @sfchronicle.com

Our department finalized a rule today requiring seat belt use warnings for rear seats and enhanced warnings for driver and front passenger seats starting with 2027 models —this is a significant step that will prevent injuries and save lives in a crash.
