I just found out I’m losing my main source of income because AI search has nerfed the revenue of my main client. I am, also, 2000+ miles from home doing photography I expected to pay for with that income. If you can help, I’m hoping to raise $1000 to help cover trip costs & the drive back west.

Eiichi hissed from the cold and the pain of the pressure but ultimately leaned into it, into her hand holding it. "I can't." One eye still able to see took in her face. The thin line of her mouth, the lines on her forehead. She shouldn't need to worry that much. He could take a beating or two no problem. Or many. "The bath house is safe as long as it's under the Ryuga clan's protection." No more nightmares of blood in the streets. No smashed in doors or screams of terror. They even let him chip some of his pay into the protection fee, lowering the overall sum. Eiichi never told his sister but deep down he was sure she knew too. She was the smart one after all. "And this is nothing, really. A good nap and I'll be as new." "This is not nothing!" His ears rang with the sheer volume of her rage, twitching away on instinct when the peas exploded all over the ground. Rin was not a screaming person. She hardly ever needed to raise her voice at all. She was calm and collected, solving problems in a clever way, not a brawny one. Still stunned from the shock gnawing at his innards, he looked into his sister's blazing blue eyes. "I'm sick of it, Eiichi! Of this clan war and the fear, of not knowing if we'll be save a week from now. You're supposed to play the chew toy for some pampered child and you still turn up beaten and bruised at my doorstep. This is not what Mum would have wanted for us!" Rin cried now, tears streaming down her face quickly, while she coughed up the next words to keep going. "Please let's just - let's just go. Anywhere. For from here. I don't care how. But I can't lose you too." When her knees gave out, Eiichi caught her and held her tight. "I'm sorry." He whispered, over and over again. Her tears soaked through his shirt until none were left to shed. Eiichi loved his sister, very much so.
